Hollow paddle dryer
Overview:
The wedge-shaped hollow paddles are densely arranged on the hollow shafts, and the thermal medium flows through the paddles via hollow shafts. The heat-transfer area is very large within unit effective volume, and the thermal mediums can be steam or liquid types like hot water、heat-conducting oil、etc., and the temperature of thermal mediums is from -40℃ to 320℃. Without taking away the heat while doing indirect conductive heating, all heat is used to heat materials. The only heat loss is the heat dissipation to the environment from the body insulating layer. The heat-transfer surfaces of wedge-shaped paddles have the self-cleaning function. The relative motion between materials’ granules and wedge-shaped surfaces generates the washing effects to wash away the attached materials on wedge-shaped surfaces to always keep heat-transfer surfaces clean during operation. The shell of paddle dryer is W form, and 2-4 hollow stirring shafts are generally arranged inside shell. There are closed-end lid and upper lid on shell in order to prevent dusts from escaping and collect solvent vapour. A baffle is set on the materials outlet to ensure the material-level height so that the heat-transfer area is covered by materials and becomes fully effective. The thermal mediums flow through the shell jacket and the hollow stirring shafts via the rotating joint. Based on the types of thermal mediums, the hollow stirring shafts have different internal structures to ensure the best heat-transfer effects.
